Our Year 9, 10 and 11 Students Make History!
A huge congratulations to our Year 9, 10 and 11 football team on an extraordinary season, culminating in winning both the Liverpool County FA Ability Counts League and the Joe Burns Cup.
Our outstanding team remained unbeaten throughout the entire campaign, demonstrating exceptional skill, teamwork, determination and sportsmanship in every fixture. Their commitment and resilience have been exemplary, making this a season to remember.
This success is even more significant as it marks a historic achievement for the school. Our students have become the first team since the inception of the league to complete the League and Cup double for three consecutive seasons – a remarkable accomplishment that reflects the consistency, dedication and talent within the squad.
We are incredibly proud of every student who has represented Everton Free School this season. Their attitude, commitment and passion for the game have been outstanding, and they have been exceptional ambassadors for the school both on and off the pitch.
A special thank you also goes to our coaching staff and everyone who has supported the team throughout the season. Their guidance, encouragement and commitment have played a vital role in this outstanding achievement.
Looking ahead, we are delighted to announce that, due to the continued success and growth of our football programme, we will be entering an additional team for the 2026/27 academic year. This exciting development will provide even more of our young people with the opportunity to represent the school, develop their skills and experience the many benefits of being part of our thriving football community.
Congratulations once again to everyone involved on a truly historic and memorable season. We can't wait to see what next year brings!
