Careers in the Curriculum: Supporting Students’ Futures

Careers in the Curriculum: Supporting Students’ Futures

At Everton Free School, all subject staff integrate careers awareness into their teaching, even in subjects not directly linked to specific occupations. For example, STEM subjects highlight how skills in science, technology, engineering, and maths can open doors to a wide range of careers. By embedding careers guidance across the curriculum, we help students make informed choices and prepare for life beyond school.

To support this approach, we provide a range of links, resources, and tools for teachers, students, and careers leaders. These cover career guidance frameworks, lesson ideas, confidence-building strategies, and pathways to further education and employment.
