Everton Free School Raises £250 for Macmillan Cancer Support

On Friday, staff and students at Everton Free School came together to host a Macmillan Coffee Morning in support of Macmillan Cancer Support. The event was a fantastic success, with the school community raising an impressive £250 to be donated directly to the charity.
The Coffee Morning saw a brilliant turnout, with staff and students baking, donating, and enjoying a wide variety of cakes, biscuits, and sweet treats. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with plenty of opportunities to sit down, share a cuppa, and spend time together while supporting such a vital cause.
Principal Claire Lamontagne praised the generosity of everyone involved:
“We are so proud of the way our school community came together for this important event. Not only was it a chance to enjoy some home baking and good company, but it also helped raise vital funds for a charity that makes a real difference to so many people.”
Macmillan Coffee Mornings are held nationwide every year, providing crucial support for Macmillan Cancer Support. The money raised goes towards funding nurses, care services, and essential resources for individuals and families affected by cancer.
A huge thank you goes out to everyone who baked, donated, organised, and took part in the morning. Your kindness and support will help Macmillan continue its life-changing work.
