GSA Article - Everton Free School rated ‘OUTSTANDING’ by Ofsted

Everton Free School has recently achieved an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted judgement, a milestone that reflects the hard work and dedication of its staff, students, and leadership.
The inspectors recognised the school’s commitment to developing a ‘broad array of additional opportunities’ that help pupils to ‘appreciate life beyond the classroom’.
In a letter written to colleagues at Everton Free School, Vicky Beer CBE, Regional Director of the North West at the Department for Education, congratulated the ‘exceptional’ school and thanked the staff for improved outcomes and ‘life chances for pupils in the academy’.
Earlier in the year, the Global School Alliance was delighted to welcome pupils Joe, Kellan and their teachers to the celebratory fifth-anniversary event at the Athenaeum in Liverpool, bringing together over 100 school leaders from across the UK and globally.
Both Joe and Kellan spoke fondly of the life-changing opportunities available to them at the school, in particular the trip overseas, whilst paying tribute to their inspirational ‘hero’ and teacher for everything he does for the local community.
John Rolfe MBE, Community Partnerships Manager at the Global School Alliance said:
“Many congratulations from us all at the Global School to the inspirational Everton Free School on your well-deserved success in being rated as Outstanding in your recent Ofsted inspection.
“We are proud and delighted to work with you and to learn from your brilliant commitment to high-quality teaching and learning, resilience and respect and for bringing the world into your classrooms.

“The impactful and creative global dimensions of teaching and learning have always been at the heart of our work and this wonderful Free School shares that commitment with informed choice, challenge and authentic engagement being an underpinning ethos across its mission and values.
“Global Educators are the most important people in the world for ensuring young people are given the skills, knowledge and learning experiences to thrive in our globally connected world and our sincere thanks to the fantastic Steven Baker and Claire Lamontagne for being those inspiring and empowering global leaders and advocates.
“Thank you to you all at Everton Free School and to all across the People’s Learning Trust; indeed it’s ‘nothing but the best’ for all the young people and communities you serve and support so admirably.”
