We give parents an active voice and offer practical involvement in the day-to-day life of the school in many ways including parent voice, attendance at events, and via online contact.

Everton Free School recognises a critical ingredient for success goes beyond the key relationships between our staff and our students, to their parents and carers and also to siblings of students.

We are therefore committed to ensuring that communication with parents and carers is effective, welcoming and accessible, and that, where appropriate, siblings are included in our thinking and planning. If you are a parent or carer and would like to enquire about classes or become more involved, please contact us.

As well as making direct contact with us, you can make your views on OFSTED's parent view here.

How are we doing?

Message from Daisy Inclusive UK:
May I say what a pleasure it was to deliver our daisy inclusive UK workshop at your school .I felt the session went extremely well and all the participants gave a positive response and took part with the right attitude. After speaking to some of the students after the session/workshop they commented that they have learned a great deal more with regards to disability and inclusion, also that they will take information and experience gained through the session/workshop with them into the future.
Once again I would like to thank you for allowing us to come in a deliver a much need disability awareness workshop and we look forward to working with you in the near future.  If you need any further help and support with any issues regarding disabilities and awareness fell free to contact us. You can also keep updated on our Daisy work by following us on Twitter and Facebook.

Message from Year 11 leaver and parent:
To Katie, Michelle and all the staff at the amazing Everton School.
It's hard to put into words what you have done for Michael and the family, I can only hope in the future that alternative schools will receive the respect that it deserves as a team but also on individuals. The care, patience and respect you have shown to Michael throughout his time with you has shown in him and I am so proud of him and what, not just teachers but as parents yourselves have passed down.

Everton has been an inspiration to all the young adults that have attended.
Many thanks to you all
Best wishes,
Paula and Michael

Message from Year 11 leaver parent:
I just wanted to say thank you to all the teaching staff, following Corie's GCSE results today. His results were beyond anything I could have hoped for, and that is down to the hard work of your staff.

When Corie started at Everton last year he was predicted 0s and 1s, so for him to achieve 3s, 4s and 5s i think is a massive achievement.

Since the first day Corie started at the school he was made to feel like he belonged there. The teachers just 'got' him.  They knew how to bring out the best in him, and push him to achieve what he was capable of I find the whole ethos of the school so refreshing, focus on the strengths of the students, building their confidence and engaging them in learning. Corie has thrived since he started at Everton, he has always lacked in confidence in his own abilities, but the staff have worked on that. He's been encouraged to do the best he can, and praised for it when he does. His best has always been 'good enough' at Everton, which I felt was not always the case in his previous  school.

So please except my heart felt thank you, to all the wonderful staff at Everton. Special thanks to Rob, for the support in exams. Although he did not pass English, he has progressed from a predicted 0 to a 3. Corie has always struggled with English most, so to me this is his very best grade.

Message from local taxi driver to our Chaplin:
Hi Stephen. I have just picked up a young lad. He was a 23-year old lad. He said he was coming from the Everton Free School, and he had gone back to visit the teachers after seven years. He said they were all crying when they saw him. He told me that he'd lost his mum when he was 13, watched her die of cancer and he was just on the wrong path and punched his head.

He went to Everton Free School and then he said that school, the teachers, what it did for me, he said, changed his life. He couldn't sing the praises high enough. He said if it wasn't for that school, he would be in jail or dead by now, its really good.

Nice to see, the impact that the school is having on kids lives isn't it? When you hear testimony like that. Really nice.
