Everton Free School win TES Awards
Everton Free School won two awards at the 2022 School Awards last weekend.
Everton Free School won in both of the categories they entered, for ‘Specialist Provision of the Year’ and ‘Teaching Assistant of the Year’, which was won by Jack Turner.
The judges highlighted Jack’s use of music and creativity in engaging children and “repeatedly being able to connect with some of the most disengaged students to help them develop their self-esteem and confidence”.
Representatives from the School, led by Steve Baker and Claire Lamontagne, attended the annual Awards, which were hosted by the Times Educational Supplement (TES).
In response to the win, Sir John Jones, a founding Governor of the school said: “That this has happened before the week in which we celebrate the school’s 10th anniversary is testament to the passion, commitment, and ability of everyone connected to the School. It is also a recognition of the brilliant support we have received from Everton Football Club and Everton in the Community and a great accolade for our students, for years of outstanding leadership and, above all, for our wonderful staff who embody the true spirit of Nil Satis Nisi Optimum.”
Congratulations to all!
